As people begin to travel more, guidelines and requirements before travel are changing.

Some Airlines and Borders are requiring COVID-19 testing results to be confirmed before travel is allowed.

We recommend confirming with the Airline operator before travelling which tests if any are required.

Please find below our available COVID19 tests, and details of Travel Certificates.

- Certificate A: Certification of Results undertaken at our practice £10 - Digital or paper certificate.

- Certificate B*: Certification of Results undertaken at our practice and Doctors confirmation of no symptoms (including Dr's examination) £25 - Digital or paper certificate

CERTIFICATE B *Your Doctor Confirmation Booking will be given at a different date. Please contact the team at info@myspecialistgp.co.uk to confirm your doctor's appointment.

Please read the details of each test carefully before selecting the BOOK+PAY Button.

We recommend confirming with the Airline operator before travelling which tests, if any, are required.

TEST

PURPOSE

RT-PCR Test
(Swab)

Results in 48h

If a patient has symptoms of the virus or recently in contact with someone who has the virus, the Nasal swab can confirm the presence of the active virus.

If 2 tests are required in the same week, the second swab is £140 for the same person.

Please contact the admin team to take second payment.

Cost £185.00

This test is collected and undertaken by the patient.

Antibody Test
(Finger Prick Test)

Results in 20 minutes

If a patient has been potentially exposed to the virus more than 2 weeks ago, then this test will determine whether a patient has had an immune response.

The SURESCREEN tests have a 99.6% accuracy rate and 100% sensitivity for past infections (IgG) after 20 days post-infection.

This has also been recommended by Government advisors in Belgium and France.

We are currently using SureScreen COVID-19 antibody test kits, which are being used at Guys and St Thomas’ and King’s College hospitals.

Cost £85.00

This test is done at the practice.

Antibody Test
(Blood Test)

Results in 24h

If a patient has been potentially exposed to the virus more than 2 weeks ago, then this test will determine whether a patient has had an immune response.

The host immune system reacts to the infection by SARS-CoV-2 by producing antibodies from a few days to 2 weeks and beyond.

This Abbott laboratory test is government approved.

The persistence of IgG antibodies allows identification of people who have been infected by SARS-CoV-2

Cost £120.00

This blood draw (from the arm)

is done at the practice.

* The result times listed are dependent on the laboratory undertaking the tests and we cannot guarantee the results in these time frames - please check with us when booking.

Please make sure you have read and understand the terms of the tests.

ID in the form of photo drivers licence or Passport is required at testing and Dr's appointment.
