At My Specialist GP, we are pleased to provide a Tissue Viability Service

with our Clinical Nurse Specialist.

 

This Service provides specialist advice and support for patients

with “complex” or “hard to heal” wounds. 

 

 

 

The Tissue Viability Service promotes high standards of practice through holistic assessment and regular consultations, ensuring the most appropriate wound dressings are used to pro-actively aid wound-healing and implement a Wound Healing Pathway tailored to your personal needs. 

 

Doppler Ultrasound testing is included in the assessment of Leg Ulcers to check for arterial blood flow and help evaluate the appropriate use of compression bandages and hosiery in the treatment of venous leg ulceration.

 

 

 

Appointments with Clinical Nurse Specialist Nicki Connolly

are for either 15 minutes (£40) or 30 minutes (£80).

​

If your wound is widespread, requires assessment with doppler or it is your first visit to see Nicki, then you will need to book the 30-minute appointment.

 

Thereafter, the 15-minute appointment may be suitable.

We offer a wide range of specialised dressings some of which offer superior healing, do not damage the skin when removed or cause pain.
